SameGame is, despite the simple rules, a sophisticated game of logic and abstract, because each move is irreversible and will affect all following moves. The game objective is the entire clearing of the court. For this you click two or more adjacent blocks of the same color to let them disappear. The remaining tiles fall down and the other columns move to the left together when a column becomes blank. Die Punktzahl hängt von der Größe der Gruppen ab. Ein einfaches Pärchen gibt noch keine Punkte, ein Dreier einen Punkt. The game is over when you have either cleared the field completely, or if there are no more same colors side by side.
SameGame was first published in 1985 by Kuniaki Moribe under the name of "Chain Shot" in a Japanese computer magazine. In 1992 the game by the name of SameGame in the version of Eiji Fukomoto has been published for Unix.
